How to send files up to 50 GB for free
Use FreeFilesShares to share one large file or several files with a temporary download link. The total limit is 50 GB per transfer, not 50 GB for each file in a group. You do not need an account or a password.
1. Prepare the files you want to share
Keep the originals on your device or in your usual storage. Check the combined size before selecting several files. You can send documents, photographs, videos or an archive, as long as the whole transfer fits within the limit. Each file in a transfer must have a different name. If names repeat, choose a different set or rename the files yourself before trying again.
2. Choose files or drag them into the upload area
Open the free file sharing tool and use Choose files. On a computer, you can also drag your files into the large upload area. Uploading starts immediately after selection: there is no separate start button, registration form or password step. If the page says storage is unavailable, uploading is disabled. Keep your files and try again when the service is available.
3. Keep the tab open until your link is ready
The progress bar shows how much data the server has confirmed. When it reaches 100%, the service may still be preparing the link. Wait for the ready message before sharing anything. Transfer time depends on your connection and service availability; no particular upload speed is guaranteed.
If the connection drops, keep the same tab open and use Retry. The upload continues from the last confirmed chunk. This does not mean an unfinished upload will automatically resume after closing the tab or reloading the page. Cancel stops the current attempt if you need to choose another set.
4. Copy the link and send it to your recipient
Once the link is ready, choose Copy link and paste it into your own message. If automatic copying is unavailable, select the displayed address and copy it manually. Anyone who knows the link can download the files without an account or password, so share it only with the intended recipients.
A single file has a direct download button. When you send several files, the recipient can download them individually or together as a ZIP archive. Keep the transfer link available until your recipient has downloaded what they need.
5. Watch the expiry time and keep your originals
The 72-hour period starts after the entire upload completes. Check the displayed expiry date: after that time, the link stops working and the files enter automatic cleanup. FreeFilesShares is for temporary transfers, not permanent storage or a backup. Do not delete your only copy after uploading.
Sharing files from cloud storage
Download the original files from your cloud service to your device first, then select those copies here. There is no automatic cloud import or direct cloud-to-cloud migration. HTTPS protects the connection, but the service does not provide end-to-end encryption. Consider the contents and who will receive the link before uploading.
